WARRANTY
We guarantee Ritchey Design Products to be free of manufacturing defects to the original purchaser for one year from the date of purchase. WCS headsets have a lifetime warranty. There is no implied lifespan for our products due to the many variables that affect products. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, crashed or modified products.
Dealers are not authorized to replace Ritchey Design products without prior approval. Any Ritchey Design product to be warranted must be returned to Ritchey Design for evaluation. Upon inspection, Ritchey Design will replace the product, repair the product, credit the account or return the product as is. Ritchey Design cannot replace products due to incorrect sizing.
RETURNS
If you have a Ritchey Design product that you think should be considered for warranty, please take it back to the store where you purchased it with your dated receipt. If this is not possible, then please call us for a Return Authorization Number and ship the product back to us with your dated receipt. Ritchey Design will not accept products without a Return Authorization number clearly marked on the outside of the box. Please enclose a letter including your name, street address (no post office boxes), daytime and evening phone numbers, and include why you have returned the product and what you would like us to do. Send your package via UPS, certified mail, FedEx or any traceable shipping method. We recommend that you insure your package against loss-in-route to Ritchey Design. We cannot be responsible for packages until they arrive at our warranty department.
FRAME WARRANTY
Ritchey frames are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty does not cover damage caused by rusting, frame past lifespan, etc.. If you are the original owner of the frame and have proof of purchase, let Ritchey know and we will issue you a Return Authorization number so you can get the frame back to Ritchey. Tom Ritchey will determine whether the frame is covered under the warranty and if it is subject to repair or replace.
The Break-Away incorporated a revolutionary coupling system that allows you to pack it and travel around the world with ease. The result is the ultimate travel bike: The Ritchey Break-Away. A full size bike in a case that measures a scant 9"x26"x29" (23x66x73.5cm).
The bike disassembles and assembles in minutes and comes complete with a travel bag. Ritchey custom steel and Titanium tube sets and the patented compression coupling system are the keys to this design. The frame is securely joined at the seat post in two places and on the down tube. The coupler clamps unobtrusively around small flanges on the down tube. While this system is as secure as systems much larger it adds less than 100 grams.
All models are be purchased as framesets with deluxe travel bag.
